Pegasus Technical Services, Inc. (Pegasus), an environmental consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, has a position available for an entry level Chemist to work full-time on a U.S. EPA-funded contract. The focus of this work is on drinking water treatment. As a member of this team, you will contribute to government funded research projects by conducting research investigations; performing bench-scale tests focused on drinking water treatment technologies such as adsorption and ion exchange; performing related analytical work, equipment maintenance and record keeping; preparing QA\/QC documents, data packages and technical reports. In particular, this position involves providing laboratory and analytical support for determining the optimal operational conditions for evaluating the adsorption of NOM, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), cyanotoxins, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on granular activated carbon (GAC) and ion exchange resin (IEX) using several water matrices and reconstituted NOM solutions. Candidate must have strong work ethic, strong written and verbal communication skills and must be good at team collaboration.<\/p>\n
