Duties include designing, developing and conducting experiments to study effectiveness of physical, chemical and biological oil spill remediation measures including adsorbents, dispersants, solidifiers and biological media; evaluating petroleum components and other remediation effectiveness metrics in various matrices using chromatographic and spectrographic techniques; data analysis and modeling; and publishing scientific journal articles and presenting at national and international conferences. Requirements: Master\u2019s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science plus two years\u2019 experience evaluating oil and spill remediating agents (treatability studies, chemical, biological and physical characterization).
