Pegasus Technical Services, Inc. (Pegasus), an environmental consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, has a position available for an entry- or mid-level biologist to work full-time at a Federal Facility on a U.S. EPA-funded contract.\u00a0 The person in this position will maintain various cell lines of interest to the EPA including Buffalo Green Monkey Kidney (BGM) and Homo sapien lung carcinoma (A549) among others. Other duties include preparing all media and reagents necessary for cell culture maintenance and\/or test culture orders, performing QA checks of each batch of media made for bacterial contamination using aerobic and anaerobic conditions, providing test cultures to investigators upon request, cryopreserve and\/or revive cultures as necessary, perform mycoplasma testing, maintain incubators, and infect test cultures with viral strains and\/or environmental samples upon request. The person is also expected to provide support for other on-going laboratory research activities, perform data management and record keeping, maintain equipment, track inventory supplies, and ensure proper QA\/QC guidelines are followed.\u00a0 Candidate must have strong work ethic, strong written and verbal communication skills, must be willing to learn new techniques and instrumentation, and must be good at team collaboration.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <\/strong>Applicants must have a B.S. in Biology, Biotechnology or a closely related field. Cell culture experience is required. US work authorization is required.<\/p>\n
