{"id":689,"date":"2022-01-22T12:30:41","date_gmt":"2022-01-22T17:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ptsied.com\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=689"},"modified":"2022-03-01T00:11:08","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T05:11:08","slug":"entry-level-biologist-chemist-scientist","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.ptsied.com\/?post_type=job_listing&p=689","title":{"rendered":"Entry-Level Biologist\/Chemist\/Scientist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pegasus Technical Services, Inc. has positions available for 1-2 <strong>Entry Level Biologists, Chemists or Scientists <\/strong>to work full-time at a Federal Facility on a U.S. EPA-funded contract.\u00a0 The person in this position will provide support for on-going laboratory research activities, perform data management and record keeping, maintain equipment, track inventory supplies, and ensure proper QA\/QC guidelines are followed.\u00a0 Research activities may include conducting experiments using established SOPs or methods, sample processing, extraction and derivatization of environmental samples, microwave-assisted acid digestions, preparation of standards and reagents, and performing wet chemistry analyses. Methods of interest include but are not limited to molecular methods, culture methods, and immunoassays. Candidate must have strong work ethic, strong written and verbal communication skills, must be willing to learn new techniques and instrumentation, and must be good at team collaboration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <\/strong>Seeking individuals with a Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.\u00a0 Laboratory experience is preferred.
